King David remains one of the most well-loved and studied figures in the Bible. But what makes his life so impactful? David was both a King and a Priest, and his 70-year journey offers rich insights for every believer. The first 30 years of his life were filled with preparation, while his final 40 years marked his reign over Israel.
By studying his story, we can understand more of what it means to live as Priests unto God and about Kingship (Revelation 1:6, 5:10).
