Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Worship God in Spirit and in Truth. (John 4:23-24)
    • Have a clear understanding of biblical worship in both spiritual and practical aspects
    • Consistent upright character demonstrated in public and in private (personal life)
  • Role-model the attitude and posture of a worshipper.
    As a front-liner, you need to –
    • Role-model the attitude and posture of a true worshipper for the congregation.
    • You are an example to show them what to do and how to respond during Praise & Worship.

Selection Criteria

  • Regular Church Attendee: Attending LE for more than 6 months.
  • Cell Group: Actively participate in a cell group to foster a sense of community outside of the dance ministry.
  • Skills: Experience is not required, but candidates must commit to attending all training sessions and practices to learn the dance steps. They should also be able to interpret music rhythmically and expressively  through movement, synchronizing choreography with the beat and mood of the music.
  • Evaluation: During the training sessions, participants will be observed by the leaders and fellow members for their teachability, attitude, personal growth, and interaction with others. This observation helps ensure that each participant not only develops their skills but also demonstrates a positive and cooperative spirit, a willingness to learn, and the ability to build healthy relationships within the group.
  • Age Limit: Applicants must be between the ages of 14 and 35 to participate in the dance ministry.
For contemporary dancers, it is essential that participants can fit into the available dance dresses provided by the ministry. This ensures uniformity and consistency in appearance during performances. We recommend that interested candidates confirm their measurements align with the sizes we have in stock to facilitate a cohesive and professional presentation on stage.
  • A Servant Attitude: Prioritising the needs of others above one’s own, serving with sincerity and a genuine desire to contribute to the well-being of the community. A servant-hearted approach to ministry is marked by a willingness to sacrifice personal comfort and resources to meet the needs of others and to lead by example through acts of love and service.
  • Teachable: Find joy in the learning process and celebrate your progress, no matter how small. Be willing to listen and accept constructive criticism from the leaders and fellow dancers.
  • Team Player: Work together in harmony with your fellow dancers to attain a cohesive sound and performance. Embrace rehearsals and performances with eagerness, ready to tackle obstacles collectively as a unified team.
  • Spiritual Maturity: Has a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and an active involvement in church activities.
  • Committed: Show enduring dedication to the dance ministry, contributing consistently and faithfully to its success and growth.”
