Summary:
The Ukulele Group Volunteer will serve in church events such as Ministry Appreciation Night, Christmas, and Chinese New Year as well as Cell Group worship where possible. This role involves learning and performing a variety of songs on the ukulele, captivating audiences of all ages, and contributing to the overall success and enjoyment of the event. Music is used as a tool for community outreach, by enabling our Lighters in using the musical gift of playing the Ukulele to bless others.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Attend at least 80% of all training sessions (approx. 4-months) scheduled and provided by LE Ukulele Group to learn basic ukulele techniques and songs.
- Practice regularly to improve ukulele skills and repertoire, incorporating feedback and guidance from trainers.
- Prepare and perform musical sets at special events by both LET, LEW and any organised events by the group.
- Engage with event attendees by sharing the joy of music and fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with event organizers and fellow performers to ensure smooth coordination and execution of musical performances.
- Assist with setting up and packing down equipment before and after performances, as needed.
- Uphold professional standards of conduct and presentation while representing the organization as a ukulele performer.
- Promote upcoming events and activities of the organization to event attendees and members of the community.”
Selection Criteria
- For mainly NEW LEARNERS to ukelele, who are able and willing to join the combined training.
- For experienced players, possible to join, but must also be willing to commit and abide by the rules set for the ministry.

- Musical Aptitude: Ability to learn and perform songs on the ukulele with proficiency, including chord progressions, strumming patterns, and melodies.
