The Youth Ministry Executive is responsible for the smooth and effective execution of all aspects of the Church’s Youth (Speedlight) programmes. He/she is also responsible for providing support in the youth’s development and spiritual growth.
This role reports directly to the Head of Youth Ministry and Principal Coach, Pastoral Training.
DEPARTMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Ongoing liaising, communicating and interacting with various lay youth leaders and members to ensure that all are moving in tandem to the church and departmental directions.
- Managing the Youth (Speedlight) cluster ministry and cell ministry in one LE Worship Centre, including consistent visitation, support and coordination with the lay leaders.
- Partnering with Youth Pastor and cluster leaders in discipling and mentoring current, new and potential cell leaders of one LE Worship Centre.
- Providing care, support and spiritual counsel to youth.
- Facilitating and ensuring assimilation of youths who are new in LE or Youth ministry into the Youth ministry (Speedlight).
- Supporting and giving guidance and direction to the Youth Executive Committee (Focusing on secondary school and tertiary education students issues and needs).
- Managing and coordinating all youth events; involving strategising and conducting effective publicity for all youth programmes in partnership with the Corporate Communications and Creative Departments.
- Providing logistical support for monthly youth services while collaborating closely with Worship, Technical and Operations Department to ensure smooth execution of the monthly youth services.
- Coordinating with training department on youth cells curriculum development by ways of conducting research and executing discipleship roadmap; include sourcing for and acquiring of relevant resources and materials.
- General administration in the department and Youth ministry (Speedlight) such as scheduling, processing registration, attendance taking and tracking, maintaining database and records, printing and disseminating training materials.
- Performing any other training related duties as and when assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in any field. (Candidate with a Theological Degree/ Bible School training would be at an advantage).
- At least 1-3 years of working experience in Full-Time Ministry Work (Youth or Young Adults Ministry preferred).
- Possess good people and communication skills, organisational and a passion for Young Adults and Discipleship.
- Able to work on weekends and be involved in our church services on Saturdays and/or Sundays (5-day work week).
