Healed Of 4.5 cm Ovarian Cyst
Zelia Zee was plagued with backache every day for almost 10 years. While painkillers provided temporary relief, the pain invariably returned. On March 15, 2003, she made up her mind to return to God after more than 20 years of backsliding. She attended the Miracle Service and responded to the altar call that night and rededicated her life to Jesus again. It was not until one week later that she realized that her backache was no longer there and she didn’t even notice it.

However, one night in that same year, she was gripped by a sudden pain in her abdomen during bedtime. It was so excruciating that she practically crawled out of her bedroom to solicit help. Rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, an abdominal X-ray was carried out on her. Nothing serious was detected so she was given injections. And after resting in the waiting room, she was discharged when her pain had subsided.

Nothing seemed to happen after that sudden episode of pain until a routine check-up. Her gynecologist told her that there was a 4.5cm cyst on her right ovary. They decided to have it monitored for a few months before the next check-up. But three days later, she had another sudden attack of pain. Though this attack was less intense, the pain was still torturous. Again, she was rushed to the hospital and given an injection. A scan that was done confirmed the existence of the cyst. Since there was nothing that the hospital could do immediately, she was sent home when her pain receded.

But the pain returned with a vengeance the next day. Zelia could not even get up from her bed so she just curled up in pain. When she was brought to the A&E department, the doctor promptly hospitalized her for further checks. Three doctors, who attended to her on separate occasions, came up with different diagnoses. One concluded that her ovarian cyst had erupted; the other said she had a kidney stone; while the third one said it could be a liver problem or appendicitis. Each one of them suggested surgery. Meanwhile, she was very discouraged because no one seemed to know the root cause for certain. And once again, Zelia was discharged the next day. She reasoned to herself that things would turn out alright in the end if she put her trust in God. With that in mind, she began to see herself healed by faith. Zelia consulted another doctor and was told that the only way to relieve the pain was to surgically remove the cyst. At first, she resisted the idea of surgery. But her loved ones, especially her husband, who saw the agony she went through, urged her to go for it. Reluctantly, she consented to surgery just to placate them. But all the while she cherished a supernatural intervention from God. In the interim, her scheduled surgery was changed five times over a period of two months because of a series of legitimate events and situations.

One fateful morning, the same pain struck again. So Zelia hurried to her doctor and was immediately hospitalized. A surgery was scheduled for her that same afternoon. As it was the usual practice of that gynecologist to have one final pelvis scan done before the surgery, he ordered for one to be carried out on her. While waiting for the scan, Zelia visualized herself being well and testifying at the Miracle Service, although she felt the discomfort in her abdomen. In the radiology department, she was taken aback when the radiologist took longer than usual with the scan. It was only later that she realized that her radiologist could not locate the cyst in the scan. Even the supervisor of that radiologist confirmed that the cyst could not be located. Once again, she was sent home. From that day onward, the pain stopped and has not recurred. She was overjoyed and shared the good news with her cell members.

Then at the follow-up check-up the following month, scans were again carried out on Zelia. What was puzzling was that the cyst was once again located. As if to compound the problem, a few smaller ones were found on her left ovary. Needless to say, she was very discouraged. For the next five days, in her great disappointment, she could not even bring herself to pray. But after reading Pastor Rony’s book, Faith That Brings Results, Zelia did some soul searching and knew that she needed to draw closer to God. She found a new faith to trust God and His words. Taking some decisive actions, she improved her diet, exercised more, fasted and prayed. The Lord taught her lessons to forgive those who had hurt her. As the names of those who mistreated her came to mind, she learned not only to forgive them but also blessed them. Over time, the cyst on her right ovary shrank to less than 4 cm in 2005 and 2.8 cm in 2006. Those cysts found on her left ovary had also miraculously disappeared.

In early 2007, as she continued to pray for her complete healing, Zelia had the prompting that she needed to apologize to her mother. She recalled raising her voice and yelling at her mother in their past conversations. Because her mother suffered from some mental condition, Zelia had often raised her voice at her in frustration. Initially, she found it difficult to say sorry to her mother. However, there came a day when she plucked up enough courage and apologized to her mother for her wrong actions and attitude in the past. Her mother forgave her and they ended up giving each other loving hugs.

Following that, Zelia went back to her doctor for her check-up in August 2007. For the first time, she was completely at ease because she felt the peace of the Lord. Her doctor just kept silent throughout the check-up. This heightened her anticipation. Finally, the doctor announced to her the long-awaited miracle. She was told that the cyst was no longer there and she was discharged with a clean bill of health.
